Adriatic from a yacht

Highlights and Frights include:

-A visit to delightful Krvavica on the mainland and a fast catch up with Stefan's great-uncle.

-heading aground at 3.00 am in Scedrow when we're hit by a violent electrical storm and 40 knot winds while at anchor and tied ashore.

-Palmizana Marina - a genuinely lovely spot except for the wasps and rats. Our Swiss buddies picked up here to a rat.

- consistently charter a brand new yacht, never old. You will find a lot of problems together.

- Lastovo Island south. This isle is largely unspoilt by tourism and was open to overseas guests from 1998. It is still forested over most of it in contrast to the several Croatian islands which seem to be fairly barren. It's fascinating to see the bunkers built into the hillsides by the armed forces who occupied the island previously. Two excellent harbours with allround defense.

- It is getting chillier. We have experienced a marked temperature drop of about 10 levels. Nonetheless, we're still loving bright days and the swimming is stunning.

- typical wind and thunderstorms in the little hours. I don't actually like that bit! wind and lightning storms in the little hours of the morning. I do not really like that bit!

- In the net you will find many companies, where you can charter boat in Croatia .

- Lastovo Island a brand new yacht, never old. You will find a lot of problems together.

- it's getting colder. south of Pula. This isle was open to international guests and is largely unspoilt. It's forested over most of it in contrast to the several Croatian islands which seem to be quite barren. It's fascinating to see the bunkers built into the hillsides by the military who occupied the island previously. Two excellent harbours with allround safety.

- Regular We have had a marked temperature fall of around 10 levels. Nevertheless, we're still enjoying bright days and the swimming is magnificent. Steve has just walked past me on his way to his daily swim at 8.00am. wind and lightning storms in the small hours of the morning. I don't actually enjoy that bit!
